Improv comedy is a type of live theater in which actors perform without a script. Short, self-contained scenes will be created to provide the structure for improvisation. Learn to listen, respond, react in a positive manner; show honest emotions and most importantly have fun. You will learn that most improv techniques apply to other forms of theater.

Backstage Crew Orientation

Note: Must be a member to register

This is a free workshop designed to provide members with an inside look at what it takes to put on a show from the prospective of a crew member. If you are interested in working backstage or just interested in learning more, then this is a workshop for you.

This includes:

Common Stage nomenclature
Intro to theater tasks and responsibilities
CH5 and PAC Layout
Intro to Audio, Lights, sightlines
How to handle microphones
Handling Props and set pieces
How to spike set pieces
Tour of Booth – Audio, Lights

Participants will have an opportunity to perform as crew for our December holiday show as well as future productions.
